Privacy policy
This policy explains what this website collects, why, and what we do with it. It is written to be read rather than to be impressive.
What we collect
The only information this site collects is what you type into the contact form: your name, email address, optional telephone number, the practice area you select and the message you write. There is no analytics package, no advertising pixel and no third-party tracking script on any page of this site.
How the form works
The contact form is a managed service operated by our host. When you submit it, your message is verified against a spam challenge and delivered by email to the firm. The message is not stored in a database on this website, and the page itself holds no credentials or destination address.
How we use it
We use what you send solely to respond to your inquiry and, where we go on to act for you, to carry out the engagement. We do not sell, rent or share it with anyone outside the firm except where a matter requires it and you have asked us to, or where the law requires disclosure.
Confidentiality before an engagement
An inquiry through this website is not privileged. Until we have run a conflicts check and both signed an engagement letter, no attorney-client relationship exists. Please keep first messages general and leave the confidential details for a conversation we have confirmed we can have.
Retention and deletion
Inquiries we do not take on are kept only as long as needed for conflict-checking, and are then deleted. Files for matters we do accept are retained under our records policy and the applicable rules for client files. To ask what we hold about you or to have an inquiry deleted, email lawfirm@bestdealwebdesign.com.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies of its own. The spam-protection component of the contact form may set a short-lived token in order to verify that a submission came from a person.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page. Questions about it can go to lawfirm@bestdealwebdesign.com or 000-000-000.
